While the halflings went a walkabout

I took my time reading that precious masterpiece that everyone’s been obsessing about for the last 50 or so years. And now that it is over, I feel that the real world had changed for good. Already I feel that slowly…slowly…things will turn on the bright side. But ever so slowly. We’re talking years. I’m feeling quite positive about this, because while I was reading for some 3 odd months, new developments:

The young are taking over. Arkeofilms is now being populated by enegetic, excitable and curious kittens. I take this is as a good sign, because now I can go and do my thing.

Eraserheads, our very own Beatles, just showed up for their last show. As much as I seriously doubt this is going to be the last (I’m sure they’d be more forgiving when they’re old and gray), I believe they put up a good show. Good enough to make the nation forget its own woes for a night.

I also watched the Maysles‘ big 3: Gimme Shelter, Grey Gardens, and Salesman. To which I say, Bravo! Because it is rare to see such timeless classics. And it is always heartening to watch movies that make you even more focused on what you want to do.

My Lolo just received money from the U.S. Government. For his services during the 2nd World War, he shall receive $9,000. Now I know it is possible that karma can come back after 85 million years. I don’t doubt that 9k is not even within the vicinity of the proper amount to give my grandfather, but because it was unexpected, we treat it like windfall.

Tom, Oh Tom

Merry is my mood, for I have reached a new chapter

Lolo Tom who skips and sings to save hobbits from danger

But it seems I can only go so far as where Tom can bring them

I played a-hooky watching Ozzies instead of going back

To editing this thing that needs a new plan of attack.

To Baz: I really liked it by the way, except it’s really just overly long. People kept on leaving the cinema thinking that THAT was your ending. You must have ended that movie three times. But you still know how to have fun and to make me laugh. Crikey!

I believe I deserve it

please?

pretty pretty pretty please?

It took me an hour to just read the introductions to the introductions to the revisions of the Preface.

It is lovely and heavy and….and…I just can’t finish it.

Need ring to disappear from the face of the earth so I can have my own adventures with dwarves and elves and such.
